all of the classes here in the northwest prohibit blocking and strapping.

We have three classes for the trucks here.

street stock
Street modified
Super Modified

stock and modified must be street legal, insured, tire height limits, hitch height limits, and engine modification limits.

Super modified is allowed more engine mods, and allowed to have hanging weights, and dont need to be street legal, but the rest of the rules still apply.

The events are too small and the sled is expensive to rent, so we have to share events with a local antique tractor club that has a sled we can use.

Im sure as more trucks start showing up, and more classes are needed, then they will allow items such as blocking and straps.

BTW, I call any race you run your daily driver in an amateur race.

I want to know what they are doing in the front! I've always run rear blocks.

Simple-when you have enough torque, the front will lift even when blocked-mine lifted several inches with 500 lbs on the nose. These are the same thing I run on my truck.
