I have glow plug #2 bad on my 2000 excursion can anyone where #2 is located.

All the glow plugs are under the valve covers.

7.3L engine ..."separated into two banks, the right bank numbered 1, 3, 5, 7 and the left bank numbered 2, 4, 6, 8."

So assuming Ford assigns left and right from the driver's seat (our vehicles are left-hand drive), then #2 is under the valve cover as RDG noted, on the driver's side next to the firewall.

That would be Number 8 Smokey, Number 2 would be the front one on the drivers side

No matter where the #2 is located, It's a pain to remove the valve covers /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif so replace ALL the glow plugs at the same time /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
