I know this isn't the most exciting and technical question.

My hubs lettering is all worn off and I can't tell if they are locked or free. What direction is which?

I *think* its twist left for free, twist right for locked..

Just reach under the drivers side and see if the front drive shaft will spin. If it does then both hubs are unlocked. Mark the hubs with a sharpie or a white dot with a paint pen. This will also let you know if you have a hub that is not unlocking, which is common.
