can i get some feedback if you own one... looking to see what you get for gas mileage. i drive at least 36 miles a day so i'm looking to see if i can afford the gas bill. Please help me if you know anything about the truck. i will take any feedback. Thank you in advance

Depends on the year, mine is an 06 LBZ and I average 14-15 in town and around 17.5 highway.

Son-in-law has a 2005 (not sure of the engine size) and gets 17 on road if at 75, 18 if at 65 and went out to Utah 2 weeks ago towing a 26' toy hauler at 60 the entire way and got 13.

my 09 dmax gets about 18 on highway.. by no means a good commuter vehicle 130 miles per day round trip.

I have an 03 Duramax with 3.73 rear axle,it gets 22 mpg on the interstate (empty) and 17-18 around town. It has 250,000 miles on it,had new injectors put in yesterday,thats the first money I have spent on it besides oil and filters.

mine gets 0 mpg for gas...:lol: sorry, couldn't resist. my fuel mileage highway 15-20 on a good day, but average about 17. pulling my fifthwheel 9-11. .but now in need new injectors, so it's about 15 now.

I have a buddy that has one, also his son has two, and they would agree with you 100%.

My buddy has one too. I was supposed to change his injectors the week that I broke my wrist.

He is NOT a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, but I was able to talk him through it. took 5 days start to finish. I will admit to using my "off" hand a few times. Other than that, the only issue that we have had to address was the fuel heater leaking and losing prime. Fixed that a couple of weeks ago. He pulls an 11,000 lb fiver and with his Banks 6 gun in 3 he is seeing 16 MPH on the highway.
