Hello,

I've just purchased a car on ebay, and suddenly need someone to haul it cross country for me.

Knowing nothing about this business, and having a tendency to obsessively research every purchase, I thought I'd ask for advice from the experts on this forum.

The car is in Decatur IL, and I'm an hour north of Boston, on the MA/NH border. The schedule is flexible.

Should I just call one of the brokers that's partnered with ebay?
How much should I expect to pay?
Is there anything I should watch out for, ask about, or do to protect myself?
Is there some standard for insurance that the driver should demonstrate?
Is anybody on this board interested in hauling it for me?

Thanks very much!

Look up fleet car or any other major carrier, for pricing. I'm not sure, but most of the members seem to be from "God's Country" and not the "Dirty Side" and stay over there. Quite frankly don't blame them.

You might try dependable auto shippers. the ones listed above are pretty high end transporters for collector vehilcles.
