Good morning, my wife and I are looking at replace our old truck with something newer and more comfortable. The local dealer has a 2012 F350 long bed extended cab 4x4 with 87K miles. It looks pretty clean overall but it does look like the oil pan has a leak. The build date on the truck is 9/2011.
From all the reading I've been doing it looks like it should be a new enough truck to avoid the valve and glow plug issues. The dealer also has a really nice 2011 F350 that was build in 3/2011. I'm reading I should avoid that one.
Are there any other problems with the 2012 truck I should be looking for ?
I did read where some people replace the plastic oil pan with the newer steel one to get rid of the leaks.
