I have a new to me Excursion and am looking to benefit from the wealth of knowledge out there. I plan to change the ATF (w/ filter), differential fluid & coolant for sure. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for anything else to include. There are 82K miles on it.

Is there a recomended change interval for the blue/orange tubes?

Looking for any advice to save $$ down the road.

Thanks. I had heard to avoid that like the plague. I found some archive descriptions of the procedures that look good.

Have you seen this, http://www.thedieselstop.com/faq/1999faq/Maintenance-AutoT.htm

Works like a charm flushing the tranny.

If you don't want to do Oil Analysis, I would use a good oil and change it every 5,000 miles (engine oil).
If you want to use oil analysis you can go as long as they tell you on good oil, I prefer Synthetic such as Rotella Synth 5-40 or Schaffer's 9000 and go up to 10,000 miles plus.

A good bypass filtration system is one of the best investments you can make, especially if you plan to keep her a while. The http://oilguard.com unit works well and is priced better than the http://fs2500.com

I would change all the diff and Transfer case fluid at 100,000 miles

Then get that stock coolant out of there and go with a good ELC (Exteneded Life Coolant) such as Fleetrite
