transfer case $400
probably around $1100 total do it

You will need to change the transmission output shaft, or change the transmission. To change the output shaft EVERYTHING needs to come out of the trans.

You will have a lot of little things that will suck $, brake lines, fluids, filters, u-joints, drive shafts...etc.... Steering will be an issue, i.e. will a new box be required or just new tie rods. I have had several friends ask the same question. My answer is always sell it and buy a 4x4, will save $ in the long run.
