Mechanical Diode On a Tranny with BD 3/20/01?

I just found a good deal on an extremely nice 2001 F250 4x4 with 100,300 miles on it. Code on tranny indicates 3/20/01 build date - right at the end of the dreaded mechanical diode run per Ford's TSB - which says they were included through 3/23/01.

I bought the truck from the original owner who never touched the tranny and pulled a fifth wheel a bunch with it.

My question: Did all transmissions mfg. before 3/23/01 have the mechanical diode?

I'm hoping that this one didn't since it was so late in the run of those trannys and has lasted this long.

Anyone know if all pre 3/23/01 trannys had it, or if they may have phased them out in some trucks made as late as 3/20/01?

If it does have it, is Ford helping out with any discount on a reman for a mechanical diode truck?

Thanks!

If it was in a diesel, then yes, it they all did. They didn't change over the line early, then change it back to mechanical diodes, then change it again. All diesel 4R100s from the start of 2001 until 3/23/01 had a mechanical diode when it left the factory.

Not possible.
