Alright guys, I'm trying to track down an annoying vibration that I can feel in the floor board. Most people suggested u-jount or the mid-shift/carrier bearing...ok, so I decide to check them out. While I was underneath the truck (driveshaft still installed) I was trying to move/rotate the driveshaft by hand to see if there was any play in it. While I was doing that I noticed that there was some movement at the carrier bearing....so I took a closer look. What I found was that the rubber "isolater" around the bearing was allowing movement. It appeared that the rubber has broken down and was allowing the driveshaft to "sag" in that spot. Is that normal? Could this be my cause of vibration? On a side note, all the u-joints "looked" fine...no grease leaking from anywhere. I still have to remove the driveshaft to further inspect the driveshaft.
