I'm rebuiling my engine. The kit has a new oil pump. The front cover is actually part of the oil pump and there are some minor (circular) scoring where the gerotor rides on the cover. I was going to take the front cover to a pump shop or machine shop to have them mill a sciff off of this area to clean it up. Are there any reasons that anyone can think of why I should not do this? Thanks, Scott.
