Hey Guys,

I am having the hardest time finding a kit to switch from mobile home hubs to 5 or 6 lugs. It seems as though the bearings are not compatible. Well at least the inner bearing. Hopefully someone can help or provide me with a trick that can make this work. Hub is 12x2. I need with brake for front axle and without brake for back axle.

Inner bearing is : 4T-JL69349PK
Outer bearing is: LM67048

I'm not a mobile home expert. Do all mobile times have the same axle? If not, knowing which axle would be more important than the bearings. In trailers, a Dexter would be different from a Rockwall, a 3500 lb different from a 7000 lb and so on.

I am not sure what this guy is doing. Is he saying the inner bearing wont fit the spindle or the inner wont fit the hub. Almost cheaper and less trouble to replace the entire axle assembly. Not sure why he wants less lug nuts.

I assume the desire is to change hubs without changing axles. Mobile homes used to use a hub similar to a cast spoke Dayton which is now illegal in most if not all jurisdictions. I agree with the advice to simply change axles. By the time you match up bearings and hubs to the old axles you'll be money ahead with an axle swap and you'll start with new components all the way through.

I tried doing this a number of years ago on my equipment trailer, same problem, ended up buying new axles. The other problem one runs into is a lot of mobile trailer axles don't have have replaceable brake shoes. Pretty much required anymore that all axles over certain weight have brakes. IIRR
