I replaced all 4 shocks, 2 of which, on opposite axles and opposite sides, were dead.

I used Monroe Gas Magnums, on sale for 139.00 with one shock free rebate for a grand total of 105 and change shipped to my door.

My past experience with Monroe Gas Magnums has been very good, and these seem to be good too. I of course replaced a set that couldnt have been much worse, but the truck is stable and smooth.

I did have Sensatracs on it years ago, for about a day, and really hated them, they would wallow like bad shocks at low speeds, but right now I have nothing bad to say about the Gas Magnums

I replaced my steering stabilizer with a NAPA stock replacement. I dont think I needed to, when I got it off it felt good, but did anyway.

2 of the shocks were fine, but one was leaking and when I took it off, any change in direction you could tell it lost its charge. I had 46K on them

BTW, the truck drove great, wasn't bouncy, I just started to notice that it didn't corner quite as well.

Don't be surprised on shock replacement, odds are yours are on their way out. 46K on stock Ford shocks, or any factory pickup truck is pretty good I'd say. 50K is just one extra road trip, shocks are considered wear items, that's why they aren't warrantied

On prior year SDs, we used to can stock shocks by 20K, these are better, but pretty much any brand truck that ever comes in the shop over 40K the shocks are on their last leg

The reason for this post is just to give guys some other options if they want to spend a little less.

Also, Monroe Gas Magnums are very hard to find locally, and I have a good relationship with all the local parts houses. I finally got them from Rock Auto, everyone can get the Sensatrack, but the Gas Magnums for the coil spring 4x4s are harder to find.

To be honest, I really wanted KYB Monomax that is a great shock, but they only make the Gas-adjust for the front of the coil spring 4x4s. All in all though, these seem to be a good option.
