What are peoples experiences with the motor mounts? Has anyone had to replace them?

I seem to be feeling the engine more in the throttle pedal and the steering wheel. Also when I shut the engine down, it seems more abrupt with a shake.

Any input will be greatly appreciated as always.

I seem to feel the same thing as of the last couple of days; I was thinking about looking mine over, but haven't crawled under yet.

I had to replace the 6 bolts that hold the mounts down to the frame a couple of weeks ago (they were all missing!) Not sure why they were missing... anyway, i got three in pretty easy with a socket wrench and a long extension...the other three i dropped of at a shop, took them 45 minutes with the proper equipment and know how... i wouldnt want to mess with them again.

I also get a bit of a shake on shut down and am trying to chase down a front end shake as well...so far no luck (replaced ball joints, alignment done, tie rod ends check out of, balanced tires...) The shop didnt say anything about any of the mounts being broken so i dont know... my next move is to replace bushings on leaf springs and shackles...see what it does...

I replaced mine about a year ago. Made a big difference. Only took about 2 hours with help. The toughest part was lifting the motor enough to get them out. Had to drain the radiator, remove top hose and loosen fan shroud. I undid my down pipe but I only did that cause I was gutting the ebpv at the same time so I don't know if its necessary. Then unbolted the mounts and lifted up the front of the motor. Old out and new in.
A good test to check their condition is to have someone watch while you put your truck in drive, hold the brake and give it a little throttle. Then again in reverse. I don't know exact specs but your engine shouldn't rock back and forth much.

Good luck!
