Will a 1997 F350 motor work in a 2000 F350 truck? They are both 7.3L.

It will work but a lot of the parts from the 2000 will need to be place on the 97's.
Basically you want to treat the 97 as a long block and moving everything on the top of the 2000 over to it including all the wiring and a few other items. The injectors will also need to be swapped over along with their wiring.
