I just lost compression in #8 cylinder, I believe due to a ring or piston, valves are in working order and I felt somthing down in the cylinder with a piece of wire? So I was wondering what year s will interchange with it.

the long blocks are basicly the same on all the 7.3, difference are the hpop, injectors, valve cover harness, computer, and rods in the early 02. so if u can find a good running long block from any year you will be fine.

The 99 up cams don't have the lobe for the manual fuel pump. Your 95 has the manual pump.
