I have intermittent wiper washer operation. You have to press the button in just the right way to get it to work.

I am fairly sure it is the switch. I purchased one at the dealer (only $35 !!)

I can't figure out how to remove it without removing the steering wheel.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!
Brian.

I don't know about that switch but my headlights would come on/off when the truck was sitting (I can see it from my office). I took it to my Dealer and the whole turn/bright/wiper arm was replaced. If I recall about 130 for the part and double it for the labor. One thing I didn't want to try on my own and I'm pretty handy.

Might help to update your signature?

Here is the procedure from the 2014 Ford Service DVD

Multifunction Switch

Removal and Installation

Remove the steering column shrouds. For additional information, refer to Section 211-04 .
If equipped, remove the brake pedal control switch. For additional information, refer to Section 206-06 .
NOTE: Turn the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left to gain access to the screw(s).

Remove screw(s) and the steering column multifunction switch by sliding outward.
To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Be careful of the boot around the gear shift lever. To replace the boot, I suppose you have to buy a new gear shift lever. It is not replaceable by itself.
