I just bought a 01 f350 cc 4x4 with 209k miles. The truck seems to be in good shape, but I noticed the starter turns a little slower than it should. After about 2 weeks I go to start it and it turned over even slower and had a buzzing sound coming from under the dash. It would turn over slow but not start. I put it on the battery charger and let it charge overnight. The next day it starts right up. So I put two new batteries in and it turned over fast and started right up. The next day the problem returns, it turns over fast, but the buzzing under the dash is back and wont fire. After a couple of tries the buzzing stops and it will fire. I checked and cleaned the battery connections and now it will usualy start up but still buzzes for about half a second every time I start it, with the occasional no start. The buzzin comes from the bottom middle of the dash.

I am supposed to pull the camper to the beach next week and am getting a little concerned that the truck will let me down. If anyone has any advice i would appreciate it.

Thanks

The relays will buzz when the voltage is low. Might want to check your alternator. Also, it isn't unheard of to get a dud when replacing batteries - might have them load tested while you're getting the alternator tested.
