My Service Engine Light came on this morning and the truck runs rough
Does anyone have a code scanner or AE that can pull codes from my 99 F350 7.3 in or near Hood River OR, Dalles, Portland or thereabouts.
I would prefer to borrow the unit rather than drive my badly running truck
Can leave a deposit
Thanks

O'Reilly's, Autozone, Advance Auto Parts will check your code for free.

If you need an analyzer/scanner, the Innova 3150 @ less than $150 is a best buy @ Walmart.com.

The AutoEnginuity is the best thing outside a car dealership, but $450 with Ford programming is pretty expensive for what might be a simple code reading for free.

Most of the free scans at the parts stores won't work on the 7.3L. I doubt the $150 scan tool will work either.

I think that some of the site sponsors (try Strictly Diesel) sell AE with the Ford Enhanced bundle for around $360.
