I'm thinking of getting a tuner for my truck. I just bought the truck, don't know much about it. I have 72K miles on it. The truck, I think, is stock. I don't normally pull/haul anything heavy(more than a F-150 wants), but would like to have tow option, and the economy option also. I would also like to have a little extra pep in my step too. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Is the Edge Evolution tuner a good product? I would like to monitor other vitals other than trans temp, ECT, and oil pressure(all dash gauges). Thanks in advance.

You can add a cheap electronic monitor, the "scangauge II" available at many autoparts stores or amazon dot com for less than 150 bucks.
Then, as always, I suggest getting an SCT tuner and having your tunes written for you. That sounds expensive "Custom written tune" but it isn't. You can buy a tuner from QucikTricksauto dot com that comes with lifetime custom written tunes for a stock truck. That will run you about $425.00 plus a little shipping.
That puts you at around $575 for the two separate pieces.
If you go to that very same "quicktricksauto dot com" website, you can get an STC "Livewire" tuner that is an electronic monitor AND a tuner all in one, and comes with the very same "unlimited lifetime custom tunes for a stock truck" for $549.00 plus a little shipping. Seems to be a no-brainer.
Don't trust those dash gauges for anything beyond fuel level. They are basically junk.
