I GOT A 2001 F250 WITH THE 7.3, WAS DRIVING HOME A LITTLE BIT AGO WENT TO PASS A CAR GOT UP TO ABOUT 80MPH AND HERD A LOUD POP AND LOST ALL POWER, COASTED OVER NO LIGHTS WHERE THROWN ON, TRUCK STILL STARTS BUT IDLES VERY ROUGH AND WHEN I HIT THE THROTTLE ITS BLOWS WHITE SMOKE ?? TRUCK DOSNT HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO EVEN DRIVE HOME HAD TO GET A TOW BACK, TURBO OR INTERCOOLER BOOT BLOWN OFF ? HAVNT OWN A DIESEL TRUCK LONG SO ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRICIATED !! THANKS

Classic symptom for having a boot blow off.

Without the pressurized and increased volume of air, the power will be down and the motor will run rich developing the white smoke from the unburned fuel.
