i really wasnt sure where to post this, but here goes nothing...
i just got a Snap on Solus scanner, 12.2 fw, so it goes up to 2011. when i hook it up to my 99, using key 20, it connects and goes through the GEM and runs codes like it should, but when i try to buzz test, or contribution, KOEO, KOER, etc it says trying to communicate, and will try until it times out, and says "stopped communication"
what am i missing folks? LOL do i have to have to purchase heavy duty to do these?
thanks in advance

It's not my truck, I've used 2 other scanners, as well as torque pro via Bluetooth
I've tried with key 17 as well, same results.
When I try viewing global obd2 codes, it won't connect with the solus, bit it let's me clear them
