Hello,
I just picked up a used 2021, but it only came with one key. I ordered a blank on Amazon, but I can't get anyone to cut it (or program it), l tried all the local locksmiths and hardware stores. I am hoping to avoid the dealer, but if I have to take it to the dealer, can they cut the key there, or will they have to order a new one? I know it's fairly easy to program a key if you already have 2, but I only have 1. Any suggestions?

The dealer should cut the key. You do have to prove the truck is yours with registration and drivers license. They will have to program the key.

I don't understand the reluctance to go to the dealer where we have the machines to cut the keys and program the key and fob. The only real concern would be that you have an aftermarket key - which should be okay but there have been instances where they have problems. I also don't understand why you can't find a locksmith to do the job as many are equipped to do this but not all. There are also mobile key services. The potential problem there is that you did not purchase they key from them.
