I got 96 PSD, rear wheel drive. 4.1:1 LSD. Low miles.
How to check the level of the rear diff. fluid?
Where is the fill hole.?
What is the capacity?
What gear oil to use with LSD and what additive to add?
I think I am still running stock fluids.

I am planning on going on a long road trip, but last night after driving 20 miles, rear diff was hot to a touch. Is it normal?

The fill plug is your dipstick....The level should be as high as the bottom of the plug. Limited slip gear oils will say so. You can also use regular lube and add friction modifier from Ford. Someone will be able to tell you specs. The fill plug "i think" is in the actual casting of the rear end. Should be a square drive. There is no drain. You pull the cover to drain
