Hello everyone, im trying to help out my buddy with research on a 7.3l idi drop in.
ive spent a few hours now going threw the forum archive and online but could use some first hand advise from you guys here.

any input?

A Ford 7.3 crate engine is hard to find........ last one the shop did cost $5G and that was a couple years ago.

What is wrong with your friends engine........

not sure what is wrong with the engine, the truck is in anouther state and nor i or him have taken a look at it. if its something simple like a head job im sure hell do that but i think time is an issue so that would rule out something more in depth.

i havnt contacted them yet but dahmar powertrain ( GM Crate Engines, Ford Crate Engines, GM Remanufactured Engines - Dahmer Powertrain ) there around the 5k range too.

anybody used them?
