So just got my truck back a few weeks back after it was stolen. Been running into issues from modifications made while the thief had it. First off the OBDII port is not working anymore. Been chasing that down, then found an aftermarket tuner half a$$ installed that killed the truck. New fuel pump and she’s back on the road. 100 miles later the rear end is out. Now trying to find out what it is exactly. Looks like it might have been swapped. “4.10 VYC35 BA V606263 2 LS.” Looks like a 4.10 LS but I cannot tell if it’s a Dana 80 or not. Cover is “DANA, 47717 1, 271 9, REV C, 04 23 98. The truck is a 2000 model. Going to need some help or I’ll be towing back to the shop again...... thanks. Can you take a photo from a bit further away so the entire cover area is visible.

Also, can you take a photo of the sticker on the inside of the driver door below the latch?

Sure glad you got the truck back but that guy must have thought he was going to keep it if he took the time to make those mods.

Did they catch him? He must have left some prints.

A Dana 80 was the DRW.
Your truck is an F350 Dually?

The sticker was removed. I can get another pic farther back though. Yes, he was caught and already out. It’s only property theft so the detective stated the criminals are basically just getting probation these days. Total joke.

This might be helpful:

The rear ending has the tag with a number starting with a 6, so based off the information shared, it’s prob a DANA 80. And it looks to be a LS. I’ve don’t a lot of automotive work but not rear ends. Guess this one will be headed to the shop tomorrow... hopefully not too much cash to get working. Thanks for sharing.

A 2000 Dually F350 would have a Dana 80 in it. Stock ratio would typically be a 4.10, which your numbers indicate. Also LS from the numbers.
