Guys, I just purchased my first Powerstroke last week. I bought it off a client of mine, and got a good deal on my dream truck! My goal is to make this thing as dependable as possible. I am not up to date on all the tuners, and other performance mods available for these 6.7 powerstrokes. From what I have read most of the issues related to the 6.7 is Emissions related. Alabama does not do emissions testing, and I have heard the EGR DPF delete is worth looking into deleting off our trucks. I am well aware that the EPA can fine you, and people in California don't like black smoke. I am still interested in deleting and tuning because, Murica. I have also read that the H & S Tuner is the one to get in most peoples opinions. I hear that H & S is no longer in business is this true? I am seeing the H & S Tuners on Amazon with good reviews, for 949.00 is this a legit tuner being H & S is supposedly out of busisness? From what I an tell it is fully capable of doing the deletes with a block off kit and exhaust. from what I have read on here everybody recommends the H & S, I hear the flow pro is the best exhaust on these, along with the S & B Intake being the most popular for intakes. What about the EGR block off kits is there a particular brand to go with or a better way to go about deleting the EGR? I want to help my truck run for a long time and make life as easy for the ole girl as possible. I plan to keep this truck for another 130k -180k it is currently sitting at 70k. is there any thing I can do beyond the things I mentioned to keep it running good? Add an inline fuel filter? Any particular oil or oil additive to run? I am aware of the possible radiator leak on the 2012 models, is there a fix for it? Is there any other issues or things I should do to address potential issues on this truck? I plan to add a 3" leveling kit, 35's and the mods listed above. I do a lot of towing, most of my trailers are in the 4,000-7,000 lb rang with the occasional 10,000lb plus haul.
Thanks in advance for your input!

I would definitely go with the H&S tuner. I own one and it is awesome. Look in to No Limit Fabrications for your EGR delete, CAI- Stage II, and 5" downpipe with 6" exhaust. Mike really knows his stuff and will help guide you. Start with with these simple mods and you will be blown away by the difference!

Will you be driving this vehicle on public roadways and highways? yes of course you are. Sorry but it's most all of America not just California.
Your best bet is to add a tuner, wind up a motor that us already on the ragged edge of what those materials can handle. That way the truck won't be belching black smoke or anything else for that matter.
Please don't pollute, its wrong, illegal and you will probably get snagged on the new no smoke laws.
Do yourself a favor, try to keep it alive.
First buy insurance that will cover water in fuel taking out your fuel system leaving you with $12k Bill.
Next build a functioning water collection system.
The 6.7 truck needs practical mods not more power with pollution.

Deleting the DPF was the most practical and functional thing I have ever done on the 6.7L. Not for power or to roll coal... simply to keep the truck "alive" and open her up to breathe. The DPF restricts so much air flow from the turbo to the tailpipe; causing damage to the turbo and other parts.
I'm not a mechanic but it all makes sense when you have owned two 6.0L. Hands down best truck Ford SuperDuty right next to the 2000 make of the 7.3L. I've been around long enough to see the progression and let downs of many SuperDuty models.
Back to the original post: open her up and let her rip. I'm in Florida and we have no laws that are being implemented by the EPA and don't ever forsee them. Roll coal all day if I want... but don't... I look forward to carry on this conversation nick.

I'll be down there visiting family over the holiday. Running a '15 turbo and fuel pump with an aftermarket air filter is a decent upgrade. I do believe this requires some tuning as well. If you want some bigger mods I'd suggest getting with MidWest Diesel for parts and tuning.

No such thing exists. Why would I go on some snipe hunt when I know better. Since you can't provide a link it's simple to show you don't know what you are talking about regarding a air-to-air IC for the 6.7L motor.

Didn't provide a link due to your continued absolute rudeness.
This is a serious ongoing issue with you. I understand you are up in an office building and not a diesel mechanic but you need to use manners.
You started this early in life have not grown out of it and has continued with me noticing this when you chimed in with " the OP is not real but a troll" and who can forget " time will show he is a troll and the problem does not exist" referring to the growing regen problem". Well he along with all the others and there conditions are real.
There is an air to air. I have seen it in a customer's shop. Did he build it himself? No
You are restricted in the stock plumbing( why they sell unrestricted tubing) in addition to the other issue.
Please use manners and give up on trying to ride my back.

Yea....just as I guessed...snipe hunt. That pictured IC (not my truck) is a fluid-to-air made by NoLimit. No air-to-air IC for 6.7L trucks is being mass produced.

I've had a great truck compared to the "wide spread" deficiencies posted by a few people in this forum. I've modded mine quite a bit to include the OEM intake runners.

I have a 2011 and I did the DPF and EGR delete. I also have the H&S Mini Maxx Race Tuner. This tuner will allow the EGR delete but this tuner is no longer available. The tuner that you are finding if im correct is the H&S Mini Maxx Street Tuner. Im in Ft. Lauderdale and when I did the EGR delete my temp dropped from 215 degrees to 190-195 degrees. I also did the MBRP 5" exhaust as well and am running Royal Purple engine oil. If I was you I would be looking for a tuner that allows the EGR delete.
