Hey guys, I'm looking to add a little power to my truck and thinking that I should add some air flow. I already have straight piped it with 3 1/2 in piping to a 4 in then 5 in tip. I have a 1989 F350 7.3 IDI non-turbo with the soup bowl air intake on top of the engine. I was looking at some other guys' setups and had some questions. I plan on getting some 4 in piping with a 90 degree bend to put on top of the air intake with a 5 in K&N air filter attached to one end. Do I need to add more fuel if I use this setup? Which filter is best to use/best bargain with enough gains? Thanks

Any exhaust piping over 3" is not going to give you any more power.

Changing your intake isn't going to do very much either. About the only way your going to see any noticeable improvement is adding a turbo.
