I just installed an Evolution II on my 2006 truck.
You have to shut the engine off to change the program. No option for on the fly programing.
It's a tuner not a chip. You can change the speedo for tire sizes, eliminate the top speed, all the typical stuff of a programer.
It does have 3 programs, Economy, Tow and Performance.
As I understand it, The parent company that owns Superchips also owns Edge now. The rumur that I've been told is that the tunes are pretty much the same.
The one downside, their housing to mount the display on the dash, DOES NOT fit a King Ranch. It does fit all the other dashboards. Edge claims a new housing for the King Ranch will be out in 30 days.
I bought Edge because it is a local company, So if my dealer can't address any problems, I can drive over to Edge offices in 20 minutes and talk to a live body. I don't intend to ever use anything more than the tow program. As I have 5,000lb to 16,000lb trailers hooked up to my truck almost daily. So maximum horse power or race programs are waste of time to me. I mostly wanted the Pyro with a minor bump in horsepower.
