Thought I would say hello. I currently drive a 1995 F250 HD XLT 4x4 reg cab with 8 ft. box and 5.8L (351 cu. in.) gas engine. It has 141,000 miles. I occasionally haul a tractor and rotary cutter on a goose neck trailer between two properties (84 miles round trip) which really strains the gasser on the hills. Although I love my Ford, I must admit that it hasn't been without some problems (I had to replace an engine at 87,000 miles).

I am considering upgrading to a new 6.7 L diesel and need all the good advice I can get.

I understand the MPG is better on a diesel and with gas almost $4 a gal. it would seem like a smart move. I wonder if the emissions from the engine on a diesel is less?
