Hello, Just put in some true 530's and now when the truck will idle down it will stall sometimes. This has happened 4-5 times already. I will call Jody as it will quit at a stand still when changing settings. I have driven it 60 miles and it will still do it. I don't think it is oil pump related as it stalls after it idles down. Any thoughts?

Maybe it's stalling so you don't get a chance to get on it with those PMRs. Maybe it's trying to tell you something...like get rid of those nasty rods before you get a side-window view of the internals of your motor.

I have to ask... Did you get the chip reburned for the injectors? How long have you drivin it? It takes awhile to get the air out sometimes...

It took mine about 100 miles to clear up but never stalled.
Like CSI asked did you have the chip reburned?

Come now... Mike has been running them for 50k or better and his PMR's are still intact...

IT's a matter of time with 530s. i know first hand and I had custom tunes that were as mild as they could be. I went boom.

As for the air i went for aobut a 20 mile ride running 2800 rmps and that took care of the air. If you ahve a fuel system that make the process go much faster becasue you get no air traped in the head @ #8

Yes the chip was reburned. I only have one IPR. And yes i know about the rods. i have another motor I'm building and will swap injectors to that motor. I have 75 miles with the injectors now. I do have an ITP fuel system.

Do you have access to a scan tool(NGS or AutoE)? Watch your ICP and duty cycle. I would guess you either have a programing issue or a dirty IPR.

What is the truck doing a cruising speed? Is it smooth?

My WAG is that Jody has it programmed for split shots not single shots (True 530s are singles correct). He did the same thing to my programming and it felt like it would die. Autoenginuity would show the ICP dropping to 430 and it would feel like it would die. Give it a little fuel and it would smooth out some but at idle or off throttle it felt like it would die. Perhaps Jody is a bit overextended with the move and all. Email Jody and explain your symptoms. Specifically ask if your programs are for splits or singles. I sent him the PCM and he reburned it and all is good now. Shouldn't have to do this though.
