Anyone heard about the next redesign? I'm not a big fan of the grille and nose of the '11s and it's a pretty safe bet that the '12s will be the same, so that leaves 2013 as the next possible model with any changes to the skin.

Anybody else feel the same way about hoping for a quick redesign?

I seem to recall reading somewhere (perhaps Automotive News) that the Super Duty will actually get a complete redesign (chassis and all) for the 2014 model year. That timing would be about right given the forthcoming HD truck fuel economy standards. The GM trucks are supposed to be all-new for the 2014 model year also.

I thought 3/4ton and above are exempt from fuel economy requirements only emissions requirements. If they do they are gonna make it so you just can't tow a load safely. I read somewhere magnesium frames were on the table for the next F150 to get the frame light enough to make required mileage. Problem with that is you can have all the HP but you need the weight of the tow vehicle to safelystop a load and keep it going straight in bad conditions.

Yes, this is the case. I believe that a revised 6.7/6spd will be in the new truck to compete with the GM HD pick ups. Based upon what GM is saying we should expect to see both Ford and GM HD pick ups in early 2013 as MY 2014 just like the 08 and 11 SD's were launched. No real changes until then as eveidenced by the recent MY 2012 order guide.

I wonder if that's when we will see a truly new Super Duty. The current models are still based on the design of the '99s. Of course, I'm not complaining, just making a statement.
