Hello all. New to forum. Just got 06 F250 with 6.0. Freeze plug on drivers side located directly behind the motor mount has decided to abandon ship and is out. Bought replacement for $1.29. Anyone get to change this one before? Advice on best/easiest way? Drop front driveline? Thanks in advance.

If this is a recurring issue after this,
My buddy had the same issue and he bought the rubber expanding plug made by Moog. Just put it in place and tightin the middle bolt. It was like $4-$5 and solved his issues. He would pop one out every month or so for some reason.

Thanks for the info! Pulled the inner fender and was able to get the plug installed. Replaced the t-stat housing cover as well. Buttoned it all up and started to fill the system with water to test. Water poured out of the other side! Found that the passenger side had blown one plug as well. I'll keep the Moog rubber plug in mind! Had seen some You-tube clips with another manufacturer's rubber plug but didn't know anyone who had actually installed one. Good info for hip pocket. Should have the other plug installed tomorrow.
