Hello everyone,figured I'd make my first post about something useful ha. I have a 93 7.3 idi non turbo, all stock. Just bought it about a month ago and so far all I have done is install a new radiator, change the air filter, oil change and just did the fuel filter last night. After I changed the fuel filter I drove the truck around for about 10 mins and started smelling diesel pretty bad. Went home and checked it out and the plastic that part that's on top of the injector that's apart of the return line blew a pin hole in it. So I went to adavanced this morning and got a whole new kit. Changed out the bad one and drove it home and the exact same one I just changed blew another pin hole. Same as last one. Any ideas on why? I'm new to the 7.3 idi and trying to learn as much as I can about them. Any advise would be great and thanks and sorry in advance for any ignorance I may have ha.
