Before this goes. Replaced netural saftey switch and vss already starts in p and in n no issues. Need to know what to do before I spend all this time and money to pull and send this back.

The solenoids should get power anytime the key is on. Grounds are supplied to the solenoids by the PCM when the PCM wants to turn on a solenoid.

If the harness grounds are not good the PCM can't ground the solenoids, so they won't turn on. If the solenoids are off the trans will stay in fourth gear. If you move the shifter to the 2 position, it will go to second gear.

They get power. So do u think ecm is bad. Cause I'm not getting ground signal using a dvm when on jack stands and in hear to solenoid 1 or 2. What sound I try. It just happened out of the blue from one day to next.

Are the PCM's grounds good? If the PCM isn't properly grounded it can't ground the solenoids.

Get a wiring diagram for your truck. It will show where the grounds are located.

Will it be ground to the solenoids or actually ecm ground. Truck starts and idles fine

PCM ground. The solenoids are grounded through the PCM, and only when the PCM wants them on.

Well did continuity check on trans harness from plug to plug and it's good. Has to be ecm cause no ground signal unless that little jumper from ecu to harness is the issue
