i found advanceddiesel.net and i know they are not a sponsor so i am very hesitant but is 259 for a new ts 6 a good buy??? has anyone used advanceddiesel before
new ts chip for $259 is this to good to be true

i would look to see if ya have to pay for each code, some people charge like $25 to add a code and if ya get 6 it'll add up. also if the switch comes with it? if ya can send it back to the company to get it reflashed once ya add some modifications. I spent $420 from caryt (ctperformanceinc.net) but i get all of the above.

I just ordered a chip through an un-named but very popular vendor for my 96 f-350. The site boasted no need for temp gauges as the chip allegedly did not dump massive amounts of fuel. THe chip was 200.00 off, being on a very tight budget I went for it.
The company did not even send me their chip. What I got was a blank TS performance 6 pos chip. I was not a happy camper. Spent quite some time on the TS tech line that (TS was unaware of this company sending their chips out). TS put a lot of my concerns to rest. TS was adamant that if I stay away from the 100 and 140 settings, just use fast idle, 50-75 (50 when towing heavy loads) I won't have any worry about my tranny (it's already built) or high exhaust gases.
I was just getting ready to post to ask for last minute advice; saw your post so I thought I would share. TS stated that after 14yrs of this chip they have no claims for a damaged drive train using the 50 or 75 setting. HE stated I could even use the 100 but had to be mindful of the temp guage and remember to drive sensibly.

Like Cary said, you will get a TS 6 pos chip with canned programs. For most folks this will work just fine. If your wanting custom built tunes you will pay more for it. Its the same as Edge Evo or Superchips tuner and their 60,80,100 hp tunes. I went the same route and am happy. Bottom line is if your not into getting custom tunes, then go for it. You should be fine as I have found them for close to the price you are seeing..

just installed my TS 6 POS. As usual I made it harder that I had too. Anyway, it works fine on start up, not yet driven. For comparison; i just paid 384.00 for mine (don't know if it's programmed the same: I have stock> fast idle>50>75>100>140. I know I will never see 140 or 100 but that is ok for my needs.
Hope that came with custom tunes for what you paid..

No custom tunes, just a canned chip . I'm not in the business so I'm sure their may have been better deals. I completely forgot about your company Cary, I did not even think to check out sponsored vendors. Chalk it up to a rookie mistake. On the brightside; my truck ruds great, it has never towed this well and didn't even get warm pullin up and over the cascades. '96 f350 cc 4x4, 25' toy hauler, 6 motorcycles, tools, family of 5, food for days plus gear, 150 gal. water and 40 gals fuel. I'm ok with it. My next mod I will be contacting you though. Thanks again !
