No coolant flow after stat change

Truck was getting hot, so we swapped in new, OEM stats and now we have no flow in the cooling system. No heat at the vents and PS of radiator is cold while DS is too hot to hold your hand on. Heater hoses are not warm.

I figure that if there was something special needed to bleed the system, there would be lots of posts about it, but I have found nothing but the fuel cooling system procedures.

Now I'm wondering if the water pump is just not pumping even though it's not leaking. There was heat before we changed stats, but nothing now.

just a ??
did you make sure, the rubber gasket is on the Top Side of the Thermostat ?
I guess you figured out the problem. Have you found the pieces?
Yes. Whew!
is the Case okay?
that looks like it ground into the Case really bad.

if there is any bubbling there, you might be headed into Cavitation Country.
Surprisingly, it was in great shape.

Have you checked the motors to see if they are working properly?
