Buddy of mine just towed his F350 2005 in my driveway.Has zero oil pressure when turning over scanned and has multiple codes starting with all injector cicuit low codes, then to injector control pressure to low.Does this sound like a Oil pump failure or just the sensor?I just want it out of my yard have enough projects on the go now without buddies showing up with more,

Unfortunatly that's not an easily answered question. There are dozens of reasons that a 6.0 won't start. Your best bet would be to read through the no start sticky at the top of the forum.

Are you sure the batteries are fully charged and LOAD TEST OK?

Sounds like a FICM voltage issue and also an issue in the HPO system.

its a 2005 right? 95% its the STC fitting your not getting 500psi to start the truck because your STC blew apart....

I would agree, but you wouldn't get all the INJECTOR LOW CIRCUIT codes w/ ONLY a STC fiitting issue ......... cylinder contribution codes perhaps, but not circuit codes. That smells of badd batteries and/or bad FICM.

Also, the dummy plugs and standpipes are about as likely a leak source as the STC fitting.

Last one that was dropped at my house, aother Buddy, his was a 7.3 (97) and it ended up being a HPOP. Bateries are good by the way, sorry jumping ahead. Don't know if this is exactly the same thing or not.I think maybe I should find buddies who have gas engines so they can leave me alone.

STC and very low Batt due to prolonged cranking.....thats y you get the other codes..... and a 7.3L HPOP (on a 97) and 6.0 are not even in the same world...

The STC fitting leaks are internal leaks.

The 05 and up HPOP's are petty reliable.

The bracket fix has been superceded by a one-piece replacement fitting. International came out with it and Ford eventually adopted it (took them long enough to do so).

might be helpful

i have 6.0 that i bought off of one my friends and he had the same problem. it ended up being a sheared oil pump gear (freakin plastic gear). threw all sorts of codes and the programmer showed a complete loss of injector control pressure. if nothing else posted is it... have your friend be prepared for an expensive fix.

The 05's and up do not have a plastic gear. I don't think that even the early ones had a plastic gear.

As I said - The 05 and up pumps have been pretty darn reliable.

The STC fitting (and the dummy plugs and stand pipes) frequently fails and leaks . The fix is not all that costly.

Have you pulled the oil filter cap and cranked (w/ the filter removed and the drain valve depressed)? This is to check on the LPOP flow.
