Help 02 X Mrs. tells me no locks trying to use fob, I check fob will not work locks or panic, interior lock switches do not work, no fuses blown. EVERYTHING else seems to work. HELP PLEASE!

make sure the batteries are ok. if they are the fob may be bad. you can try reprogramming the fob to the x.

i got almost the same problem started when i cleaned the batt posts and washed the right side of the battery box and area to remove soda now the locks try but will not move the levers

Really, batteries....never thunk it. I'll try tomorrow. If the fob batt. is dead though, then why woud 'hard' wired door swith not work? If batteries are the culprit, then why only door locks and panic button? I haven't evevn looked at batteries since last oil change. Any numbers for FOB battery? Thanks for the replies!

Try changing the battery in the little controler

as said i have same problem /mine started when i cleaned batt and washed off the soda i think i got some elect plugs wet around the area of the fire wall driver side. only thing that messed up is the door locks they try to cycle but dont have enough power and when you try more than once it sounds like a battery getting weak. but it is not due to the fact i can start the truck and it does the same. also this am after sitting all night the doors will unlock once or twice then they start not working but you can hear them trying. i had one person say to unplug one door at a time there may be one going bad. but i got a bad case of poison ivy and its hot so will have to wait and use key /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Poison ivy.....dad gumn..... that stinks. Hope ya got some calamine or cortisone! I haven't messed with mine yet. My luck stinks. A/C at office got hit by lightning and working in an office in Fl in JULY with no windows or air......I'm not doing anything until tomorrow. Thanks for the replies. Unless I find something looks like I'm payin Graber to fix it on Mon.

How do you reprogram the remote? I have a 2000 F-350 I just bought and have two remotes but only one is programmed to the truck.

If it is the actuators, do they all burn out or is it one? Do I have to systematically rip each door open to find it? Does one actuator failure cause all to stop? Not only does the fob not work, but the inside, hard wired swith is dead also.

one, one shouldnt make all of them go bad...however that motor is a bad design......all of your door locks take a beating year round...up down up down....you use an aftermarket motor that is a lot cheaper them OEM and they only take a few mins. to install....e-mail if you need more info....

In shop now. Mechanic says he can't communicate with some sort of power control module. Says he should be able to access something from door keypad but he can't. He thinks the truck may have been hit by lightning. We'll see.

Got X back today from Graber, my mech.. $138, no parts. He didn't have much time to talk, but he said he 'cleaned' all switches including the outside keypad real well. All is fine now. He thinks truck got hit by lightning. Very poss. as we have had numerous bad afternoon T-storms lately.
