Hi all...
Referring to my 2002 F250....
After finding two blown fuses - F2.9 and F2.11 (power mirrors and Radio) and still NO radio, I started checking power going to the fuses.
Long story short, the F2.32 another fuse that powers the radio has no 12v. on either side.
I am thinking there is a Maxi Fuse somewhere that powers that part of the Central Junction Box.
Can anyone help me out here?
I'm going nuts listening to-myself sing  :jester:

Thanks!

Oops... Thats not the problem. I started checking voltages across the fuse as I was cranking it up and low and behold, I got 12 volts there.
So... still no radio and I'm sure tired of hearing myself sing:sick:

anyone with some hints for me? I'm headed back out to check something else, don't know what, but something is not right, so I'm gonna check.

Thanks!

No luck... other than the fact that the switch that moves the mirrors up,down, left, right doesn't work correctly. It will move the mirrors down, that is all...
and that is enough, lets start again tomorrow.

Pull the dash and radio and check the harness to see if you got 12v going directly into the radio. If you do, time for a new radio. If you still got the stocker in there from '02 you got your money's worth. For under $300 you can get a real entertainment system, DVD player, bluetooth, etc. Pioneer AVH-P3200BT. For another $100 get a set of (4) three way Rockford Fosgate speakers. all brand new on e-bay.

No 12v at the radio... So finaly got fed up and found a hot wire and just wired it up, only trouble its on all the time. No big deal, with them two honkers of batteries the Sony system would have a hard time running them dead in a week.
I just got an adapter type plug for the factory harness so I wouldn't have to splice into it. Mated up great from the factory truck harness to the Sony system. Just no 12v..:icon_mad:

Still don't know why there is not 12v at the factory harness at the radio.
Thanks!

You'd have to get a wiring diagram and trace the wire back to the fuse block and try to figure it out. Did it just go dead on ya ?

IMO you'd be best to try to find a switched 12v line to your radio. You'd be surprised how quick the radio may drain the batteries. Not to mention low voltage will do all sorts of nasty stuff to the electronics associated with the engine when you try to crank it over. Just sayin.

Good luck
