Sometime after you switched servers I was unable to post. When I attempted to post my password was not "correct". Attempts to have my password e-mailed to me failed because there was "already an account on the e-mail address" or something like that.
I e-mailed you folks once, waited 24 hours and e-mailed again, waited another 24 hours and e-mailed once again. That was almost a week ago and no one has answered my polite requests for help.
I finally logged a new User Name to a second screen name and got back on that way.
I enjoy this site but feel that the complete lack of any response was wrong.

It's usually difficult for us to respond very quickly due to the volume of e-mail we receive each day. A lost password is especially time consuming as I have to telnet into the server, find your account number, and look at the file to see what the password is. With the recent release, we've updated to only allow one account per e-mail address. That will help when you lose your address as the system can automatically e-mail it to you. The problem you had occurred because you had registered twice.

Remember that the site is still free with no paid people helping out with stuff like this. We are working on a better way of responding to technical problems with the site. We are however unable to respond to truck questions via e-mail at this time.

Greeny, you won't find many folks on this site with complaints. JLester and his crew seem to run a very tight ship. Besides he just got a new SD and probably hasn't been able to get out of the truck much

I have run a website as a volunteer for a non-profit organization, and I can tell you from experience, it is a hard and mostly thankless job. The time that most people spend surfing the web or watching t.v.; you spend writing HTML code and answering e-mails. The site I ran was no where near as big or complex as this one, and I cannot even comprehend how much work goes into this. This must be a second full time job for Jason. I know I couldn't do 1/10th of the job he has done and challenge anyone to do better. Look at the number of users and the numbers of posts that this site processes. I attended the PowerStroke Get Together that Sid McAllister coordinated and it struck me that all this took place because one man cared enough to make a website about our trucks and let us take part. I think this is all really amazing for what amounts to a one man show. I don't meant to take anything away from the other moderators, they all do a good job as far as I can see, but this is Jason's baby, and a hand full at that. I know that this site is an important part of the day for a lot of us, but it is still a volunteer, act of kindness by essentialy one man. If I don't get a response from a commercial site within a few days, I get upset, but I think that this is a pretty good thing here. O.K., I'll get off my soapbox now!
Later,
Bruce
