i just changed the transfer pump and now engine has no start.removed fuel filter housing,cleaned reg screen,replaced filter.engine cranks but won't start is there something i could have done electrically to cause this the only thing i unplugged is the harness on the housing for the heater and water sensor???i checked the filter and it is full of fuel, the truck ran fine before just leaked fuel from pump weephole,,,,,, also shows rpm when cranking, no blown fuses

Did you fill the bowl?

Is the IPR still plugged in, & no wires touching or shorting

Check fuse #22....

where is the ipr connection at? the fuel bowl filled when i cranked it over numerous times....

The IPR is one of the four connectors on the harness that goes thru the fuel bowl. Should be plugged into the magnetic coil that is on the backside of the HPOP, down low between the fuel bowl and the drivers side head. Also check to be sure the sheetmetal nut is tight and holding the coil onto the IPR.

well sir you nailed that one,harness must have been brittle when i took it apart the two wires at the ipr plug were shorted,i did notiice, also the coil was moving when i unplugged the harness so i'll tighten that when the new harness goes on tomorrow, hope that gets her going thanks for the help.......

FYI
The IPR and the injectors both use the same plug, so it may be cheaper for you just to buy an under valve cover harness and just splice the plug onto your fuel bowl harness.

I paid $140 for this little harness from Ford several months back, because International Dealer told me that # 1807333C91 was a 'restricted' part and they would not sell it to me. Later I called a different International dealer and they swore that they could get part # 1807333C91 for me for about $13.

If any of you guys can get this fuel bowl harness from IH at that $13 price PLEASE let the rest of us on this board know about it.
