I get allot of questions on just what to check when you get the ipr off the vehicle so you know if it is bad or not. In this video I go over what to look for in depth with an example of how a failure looks.
What kind of pressure upon cranking it will climb into the thousands in a few seconds? Sync and Ficm sync need to say yes upon cranking. What is the ipr%Makuloco, can you tell me why my 6.0 will build good pressure at the ICP and loose it in a instant. It also is showing no sync. Could it be a short ?, because it was a seldom thing until lately.
Yeah sounds like you need to go after the sync issue before anything else, block rust pushing the cam sensor out was a known issue on these if you are in the salt belt or the truck was in the salt belt previous owner. The IPR is around 55% while cranking and then it just looses everything for an instant. And it also shows no sync. I can put a little diesel in the intake and it'll run like a champ until I kill it and it decides not to start.
Mackskibum, I have the CS tuner also (Edge) I can't find IPR% does it have a different abbreviation? Or different reading?Your edge should read FICM, IPR% and ICP. My CS has options for all 3. What Edge do you have?
