Hello all,

I have a 2000 7.3. The temp gauge hasnt worked for sometime now and it really bothers me. I like to have all of my gauges operating properly. This is the second time this has happen to me. Last time I replaced the sensor and it worked good for a little while then it started to read some funny readings like when the truck was running for a few hours the gauge would sit right above cold. Then it stopped working all together. I replaced the sensor with a good one I had on the bench and still no reading. The gauge does spike to hot when I place a jumper wire across both leads on the female connector. So that leads me to believe my wiring is good. I just ran the truck and took an ohmn reading of the sensor the sensor was reading around 3.** ohmns. I am lost....

This is one of those sensors where the parts store replacement doesn't work well. You need a genuine Ford part.
