OK. I had a previous post "hardly runs" and i got a lot of good info from you guys. BUT.. Truck still not running. I get the 1316 code. I have replaced the cam sensor, the icp sensor, the ipr sensor, the vc gaskets, the uvc harnesses, The plugs on the engine harnesses for the vc gaskets, and today i just replaced the idm module. I still get the same result. i get #1 #3 #5 #7 not contributing, and #7 short to ground. I have ohms tested from the idm plug to the injectors and got 2.7 ohms on all injectors but #7 and i get 2.1 ohms on that one. Buzz test sounds good on all injectors but is a little weak on #7. What am i missing? I did get a 0605 code one time, but doesnt show up every time. Is that a pcm problem? Sometimes it will run fine for a few seconds, but then it is like it shuts off one side.. Anything else???

Yes.

DTC: P0605
Circuit index: PCED
Problem: Internal control module ROM error
Probable cause: Internal PCM failure

In other words, your computer is probably toast. :(

It happens to the best of us. My PCM went south late on a Friday afternoon when I was 120 miles from home dragging a fifth-wheel trailer after a long trip "back east". Total bill out the door was $562.79, plus a $100 towtruck bill plus 3 days in an RV park. We rented a car and drove home to get our car, then turned in the rental car the next morning. So the rental car part of that bill was only $33.

A Good Samaritan saw the trailer off the I-20 service road and towed us to a nearby campground and, wouldn't take any money for his good deed. So Darling Wife sent his wife a dozen roses. And that cost me another $75 or so. :)

So have your checkbook ready. ;)

The service guy at my local dealer said that it must be the idm. Even though i already replaced that damn thing. He said the computer sends singnal to idm and that is what distinguishes how the injectors fire. This doesnt seem right to me, but i have never seen a pcm intermittely shut down just one side of a motor either. Anyone ever heard of the computer doing this before? I would like some more oppinions before i spend more freaking money chasing my tail.
