I'm thinking about replacing my factory speakers and was wanting to know if anyone knows what RMS power the factory 6-disc unit puts out? I heard that Pioneer makes it. Just wondering if it will power decent aftermarkets or if I'll have to add an amp.

Don't have the answer to your question, but I'd highly recommend going aftermarket unless you can get the factory 6-disc for dirt cheap. The thing has jammed/broken on me twice now. The first time it eventually fixed it self after a month somehow, and now its been jammed on disc 2 for the last 3 months. Pretty unhappy with the unit.

That's the unit that came from the factory in my truck, so I already own it. I like the looks of it better than an aftermarket one. I was hoping that it would put out around 35-40 watts RMS maybe....
