Well about a month ago my steering wheel started wiggling back and forth a bit on certain roads....annoying but who cares. Then my front right tire started wearing weird. (BFG mud terrains) This made me nervous. Had ford check it out to see if there were any major issues. Said everything was fine. What a joke.... They just re-aligned it, changed the toe a bit, rotated the tires and checked to see if everything was tight looked ok etc... Soooo I left thinking problem solved right?? Not really....The steering wheel now wiggled worse, the truck has a horrible ride, and is extremely sensitive to any uneven road surfaces, esp at the 45-50 range and in left hand sweeping curves. Well it has been a week and the problem worsens every mile I drive. Last night on my way home from work the steering wheel really started to wiggle bad, then the whole front end started wiggling doing barrel rolls etc... Scared hell outa me!! I could barely control it!! Sooo I got on the good ole internet and did some research. Sounds like death wobble to me...maybe not but it sounds very similar. I need suggestions to get this fixed asap. Any suggestions... comments places I can contact (im in ohio)... what to tell the retards at ford... fixes... etc... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif My truck is one of the early 05's 4wd crew cab has a rancho 4" lift, and bfg mud terrain 35's. Any help is much appreciated!!!! I have parked it permanently until I find a fix. I hate driving my junker 93 dakota!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Thanks!!

Are you still using the factory steering stabilizer? I've heard changing it out with a dual unit really helps on a lifted truck. You can also make sure your track bar is tight. Being that you have a lift kit, I would bet your track bar or track bar bracket has loosened up a bit.

I've heard Donohoe Racing makes the best stabilizers for our trucks. I'm running a single replacement stabilizer from Rancho and it seems OK to me. If I was you I would look at the track bar first, thats free. Did your lift kit come with a track bar relocation bracket? Its possible whoever installed the lift just didn't get it tight enough. They need to be VERY tight,

No question dual steering stabilizers will soften the wobble, but its still there.
Have somebody in the truck turn the wheel back and forth while you lay under the front end and look at the track bar. If it moves AT ALL you have found your problem. The bolts need to be torqued to 400 ft/lbs.
