Oh where, oh where can it be?

Just got off the phone with the regional Ford Customer Service Rep. It amazed me that they can not tell me where the truck is physically located other than the same info the dealer has access via his computer. She says she has no phone numbers to call KTP or Norfolk Southern nor does she have Ford phone numbers of contacts who can locate and/or state why it might still be sitting since 14 May at the NS rail yard. She states she has no idea why there is a delay nor does she know who can tell her.

And don't say Scott could have gotten it sooner. :nono: There are other dealers in Alabama that my local dealer has contacted and they say they are having the same problem. Built vehicles but delivery date has expired and no update on new date.:bangin::headbang:

Hope others aren't experiencing this problem. If you have info on yours being delayed, I would appreciate if you shared it. Maybe we can solve the problem for Ford.

PS...this is not a complaint thread but a frustration thread. Maybe it won't be pulled.

But he could have :stickpoke:

You are not the only one who is having issues getting your truck. I'm sure more people will chime in. Did you miss an Eta yet or did they ever give you an eta?
I disagree on he could have gotten it sooner but that is tit for tat. we will never know as i sure can't afford to order second truck to see if he could or couldn't. lol

Yes, the original eta was 28 May. Ford shows the truck was delivered via Convoy trucking on 14 May to Norfolk Southern.
Scott does get trucks fast he has connections

My ETA was 6/14 and he got my truck on 5/22 for me because I was borrowing my inlaws car for almost 2 months.

But that does not help your situation. I can't believe Ford is not researching this? They should be able to investigate if your ETA is missed once it is in the shipper's hands. I know Scott was able to make a few inquiries with Ford because we were trying to get it in by the 20th as I had to change my flight if it didn't come in. They had said that they can't do much if the ETA has not passed. They should be able to put pressure on the shippers once passed.

Sorry I am not much help.. just saying I call BS with Ford not being able to find out why you missed your ETA by 2 weeks if it has shipped.
It might have been damaged and is getting paint or a problem occurred with the vehicle
My ETA was 6/14. I just got an update from Crystal stating the new ETA is 6/20. I am in Mobile Alabama and the delivery is listed as convoy. It's only 550 miles from KTP so I would think it would be convoy the entire way no rail.

Contact your dealer and see where the truck is located. I would have thought mine would have come Convoy all the way also but the dealer info showed Convoy delivered it to Norfolk Southern rail yard to ship to some destination...maybe Atlanta or maybe Birmingham...and then Convoy will transport to dealer from there.
Received a call from Percepta out of Melbourne FL area about the truck this morning. Not sure how Percepta fits into the scheme of things. I was told by the person on the phone from Percepta that Ford Logistics was going to locate the truck and expedite the delivery. So, maybe next week this time it will be at dealer...

Just got off phone with dealer...Percepta is on contract with Ford..not sure what the total involvement they have.
Per Norfolk Southern Automotive Transportation Specialist, the truck is loaded on rail car and in transit.

Maybe will arrive at dealer by Monday.
Got a call from Ford Customer Service today. Asked about the truck and how I like it. They are signing me up for 3years/45k miles service plan for free.

I asked if it included oil changes for diesel trucks and she said it should. Hope it covers fuel filters and air filters also. Dealer said should bring in fro oil change at 3k miles and will do it now that it is free.

Just check Ford website for cost of Prem Maintenance Plans. 3yr/45k miles can have a value of $2015 if i get every 5k miles service to as low as $1105 for every 10k service.

I will know in a week what all is covered and how often when the paperwork arrives. It will be good at dealer.

If it was me I would want a new truck built. Something is wrong
