Oil change for the 7.3L (Materials)

I have been using the Shell Rotella T-6 Synthetic Oil
and the Fram Best Oil Filters that are made by Honneywell
Tough Guard 6X Filters for 13.00 each, great price.
Designed for Synth or Dino oil.

The Oil is like 21.00 a gallon or so.

All in all the Van is running great, quiet For a diesel)
and an economical choice with high prices these days.
Walmart has some good pricing.

I use the 2 MagFilters on the oil filter, no metal running through my engine.

Sounds like you're on your way to the million mile club! I've been using Mobil 15w 40 conventional with Motorkote Hyper Lubricant additive, and a standard Motorcraft FL1995 oil filter. At 354K miles, the engine still runs like new and the oil is still clean after 4k miles. The 7.3 Powerstroke is an amazing engine.

That looks like an Amsoil filter, rather than a Fram...

Good choice on the rottella, syn or dino, its great stuff and we use it in everything from the pick ups to the john deeres to the freight shakers but I would rethink the fram. I use Wix and get min 6k-8k mile between changes and really if you change it less than 5k you're wasting you money.
