oil crossover line? whats it do

2433 Views 16 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Big K
I saw on ebay a oil rail crossover line /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif it says that it equalizes oil pressure to the injectors. Is that a wise thing to do? Anyone have a DIY write up and pics on this? Can anyone further explain what youd need to do it and what the benefit would be?
Thanks
Dan

Had a Tymar one on my 97 for 50K. It quieted the truck up immediately and smoothed out the idle. Once installed it never leaked or showed any sign of it. Good product.

** No performance gain, no mileage gain, no HP gain ** It just balances things out and keeps pressure equalized in the rails to prevent the nomal pressure loss due to the sequencial operation of the injectors. Don't remember which ones but there are 2 that fire in a sequence that robs pressure from the other rail and is said to cause injector noise and disruption in fuel flow causing rough idle.

Don't quote me on that.
